Caring for natural cloth
The most common way to wear a jacket out is to look after it too much. Natural cloth is more resilient — and more self-cleaning — than most people expect.

Rest and brush
Wool recovers when it rests. Give a jacket a day off between wears on a broad wooden hanger and most creases fall out on their own.
A soft brush down after wearing lifts dust before it settles into the weave. A two-minute habit that does more than any cleaning.
Clean sparingly, air often
Dry-clean only when a jacket is genuinely soiled, not on a schedule; the solvents are hard on natural fibres. For everyday freshness, air the jacket near an open window and spot-treat marks by hand.
Steam, not a hot iron, is the gentlest way to press. Treated this way, a full-canvas jacket stays sharp for years rather than seasons.
